Hey hey!
How are you doing?
First for my most exciting news! I’ve teamed up with the guys at Santa Cruz Engraving Co to create a series of looms. This is a dream come true for me. I’ve been wanting to do this forever and am so grateful for this opportunity to work with a local business because that was the only way I was going to get into this loom making business.
There are a variety of sizes and I’ll have some for you to check out at my trunk show at Yarn Shop Santa Cruz on Sunday December 11 from 12-3. I’ll also have mini and small weavings and my woven twist on traditional sachets filled with my homegrown lavender. Stop by and say hey. Julie from Leo Kids will be there too and her creations are delightful—I love her whimsical color combinations.
If you are still holding out hope on a handmade holiday I’m offering a holiday weaving workshop again at Yarn Shop Santa Cruz on Thursday December 15th from 5-7 pm. This workshop is designed to be a break from rushing in every direction. A pause to sit with some other nice people, focus on just one thing and complete a sweet mini weaving that is perfect gift for someone special. I’m really excited about this one because I am giving everyone a mini wooden loom to create on and keep. Click here for more info.
And finally, it’s First Friday here in Santa Cruz. Here are my picks for an evening of inspiration + community.
First stop will be Home/Work to wish lovely Sonia a happy birthday. There will be a little celebration at her shop featuring the transformative art of Miranda Powell who is a super sweet and crazy talented artist. That’s two cute faces in one spot.
